The Pennsylvania Association of Fire Equipment Distributors and the Pennsylvania Burglar & Fire Alarm Association will be jointly holding their Annual Convention on September 13-14, 2023 at the Holiday Inn Williamsport.

Golf Tournament to be held in White Deer Park and Golf at 352 Allenwood Camp Ln, Montgomery, PA 17752 on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023.

A portion of all funds raised will go to PAFED's annual donation to Camp Susquehanna.

KEYNOTE TOPIC: Building Relationships Through Communication: The Key to Successful Sales and Customer Service – Parlor A&B

One of the foundational keys to a business' growth and long term success is the execution of building relationships with customers through effective communication.  Robert's Keynote will cover these vital communication techniques such as active listening, asking open-ended questions, empathy, and non-verbal communication.  

Additionally, he will discuss the need for collaboration between sales and customer service teams in order to break down communication barriers, collaborate on customer issues and inquiries, and share customer insights and feedback. 

The Keynote will conclude with Robert's perspective on the state of the Industry. This update will be based on Brooks' direct involvement with the Fire Equipment Manufacturers Association.

Jeff RoegerAbout the Speaker: Jeff is a 7 year Navy veteran, flight deck crewman/fire fighter, crash and rescue fire fighter; In the fire safety profession since discharge in 1988 having been a shop and service technician, service manager, branch manager and partner in several fire safety, fire extinguisher, fire suppression system sales and service organizations; 2010-2018, was a fire school instructor, pre-engineered technical trainer on portable and fixed fire extinguishers, kitchen, industrial, gas station and vehicle fire suppression systems and fire school operations manager for Ansul; 2018 to present in my current role of Regional Sales Manager Midwest for Amerex corporation.

      Historic Sprinklers Systems in Existing Structures - Steven Schneider

Session is intended to provide a basic understanding of the history and evolution of fire sprinkler systems and the changes to the installation and maintenance requirements of these systems over the years.

About the Speaker: Steven Schneider is employed by Kistler-O’Brien Fire Protection for forty-five (45) years.  He was involved with all facets of the company at one point or another, predominately the special hazards division.  Steven is a member of the Burn Prevention Network’s Board of Directors and Leadership Team for Camp Susquehanna.
